Ianis - the puppy who saved himself

Ianis was  found about a month ago, he was abandoned on the side of the road, in a forest somewhere. Marilena takes a lot of trips by car and she always has food and water for the dogs that are abandoned in almost every forest in Romania. Sadly, we can't save them all,  but she can never drive by a dog without giving him food and water. That is how she found Ianis, a small dog with skin problems, all alone in the woods. She was just thinking what to do about it (because Happy Paws is so full at the moment) and she went back to the car (leaving him eating a bit further) to get some water when he came screaming and jumped in the car. There was nothing more to think about, Ianis came back with Marilena at Happy Paws.

Ianis is kept separate for now, because he is small, but bossy, so we are afraid the others won't be so kind to him while we are not there. He is very cute and loves to play. His behavior shows how grateful and happy he is to belong somewhere, even if he doesn't get nearly as much attention in a dog sanctuary as he really needs.

In love with Sandy...she is not that happy about it ;)

Ianis is a 5 months old boy, small size, very friendly and cute. He is playful with other dogs and likes to keep pretty busy. He is under treatment for his skin problems (already looking much better). Ianis will be neutered this week  and he soon will be available for ADOPTION.

How can anyone resist this cute face?

Papi - a lucky guy

Last summer we were driving to the vet with 3 dogs, but we came back to Happy Paws with 4 dogs. Papi was abandoned on the side of the road, he had a huge belly, skin and bones, with no water or food. Of course, we couldn't leave him there, so he came back with us and grew up with Coco (for adoption) and Maya (adopted in UK). He was a playful, sweet puppy, very grateful to be saved from a certain death.

Papi is a playful, active teenager, a bit dominant to smaller male dogs. He spent the winter at his rescuer's place (Marilena), but he is now back at Happy Paws.

Papi is around one year old, neutered and vaccinated. He is medium size, very beautiful and playful, friendly to people. He can be dominant to other males, but can get well with female dogs. He is very active, so he would be perfect for a family who enjoys long walks.

Always on the run

Papi spent the winter with another rescued dog, Triola (Easy) and they got along very well

Papi loves his rescuer, Marilena, but sadly she can't adopt him

Papi is ready and available for ADOPTION.

Sammy - the shy "dalmatian"

Sammy was abandoned together with Sudden outside Happy Paws' nursery last winter. He was a scared puppy, very hungry and cold. Daniela took them inside and raise them along with the other orphan puppies. Sammy spent a lot of time hidden in the doggie house at first, but he got used to his new temporary home.

Sammy and Sudden

Sammy grew up into a gorgeous young man; he is quiet and a bit shy, but he loves to play and to be cuddled.

Sammy and the gang

Sammy is an 9 months old boy, medium size, neutered and vaccinated. He is friendly to people and dogs, although a bit shy at first. He would be perfect for a family with older children and a lot of space to run and play. Sammy is ready and available for ADOPTION.
