Jessie - the quick silver girl (adopted)

Choking on food, she was that hungry

Jessie is a very active dog, it seems she can never sit still; she likes to interact with other dogs, but, believe it or not, she is the dominat type, so it can be pretty difficult to keep it safe with dogs twice ot even three times her size. She loves any human contact and attention; she would do anything to get it, bark, get into fights with other dogs, cry. It is obvious to us that she needs lots of attention and mental challenge, because she is so active and smart. Recently she figured out that if she gets outside Happy Paws, we become very worried about her and run after her. So she did that a lot that day, but would never run away too far, because her favourite part was us picking her up in our arms, kissing her for being such a good girl.
Jessie is a two years old girl, spayed, small sized, loving and very active. She is suited to be adopted by someone who will understand her need for attention and challenges, preferably no small children. She can do well with dogs if they accept her bossy temper and active nature. Jessie is available for ADOPTION.

Bono - the shy rockstar

Daniela brought him last summer to Happy Paws. He was a young puppy, newly abandoned on the streets, he was terrified of people and other dogs. Daniela could barely catch him; he was very shy for a couple of weeks, no one could touch him. But soon he started to trust us., he leart from the other HP residents that we are safe to be around.

He became friends with Chloe and she started to open up to the other dogs. He soon became a very active and playfull puppy, sometimes acting even cheaky. We all tried to act very gentle around him, so he would learn to trust us. And I confess, we spoiled him, as we do with all puppies at Happy Paws.

He is now around one year old and he has settled in quite nicely; he is a nice young man with good manners, he is good to other dogs and friendly to people. We are proud to see how he has grown up to be a good family dog, sociable and well behaved.

Bono is a one year old boy, neutered, small to medium sized, friendly and sociable to other dogs. He is active and playfull, enjoys people's company and would love to have a family all of his own. He hasn't given up hope he will be adopted and neither did we. Bono is available for adoption.

Faithfully waiting for his owner

Tasha - the gypsy girl

We first found Tasha in the summer of 2011 at a RAR free spay/ neuter campaign. We spayed her and returned her on the street the next day. She was returned somewhere near my home, so I was supposed to check on her and feed her. But the very next day after she was returned, someone called and said that Tasha was attacked by some drunk teenagers who picked her up and threw her to the ground, only two days after her operation.  I rushed there to see if she was ok, luckily, she wasn't hurt. I took her in and looked for a foster home, I was afraid to let her back on the street.

The first picture in my home

For six months she stayed in a foster home in Moreni; I would go there to check on her and every time I saw her, she seemed fine. I decided to help all the pets of that family, they were spayed at the same campaign as Tasha, I gave them food for everybody, dewormed all the dogs and cats (8). I decided this because the family was poor and the cats and dogs were very skinny and covered in fleas.

Tasha at the foster family home

In January 2012 I found Tasha roaming on the streets of Moreni. She was cold and hungry, so I immediatelly took her with me. I waited for two days until the foster family had the decency to call me and let me know Tasha was missing. I took Tasha to my grandmother's house and I begged her to foster Tasha, although she had 4 dogs and she lives alone. After a few months, Tasha came to live at Happy Paws. As you see, she had to change a lot of homes in a short period of time, so she had to adjust to a lot of changes. I think she would do perfectly in a more quiet home with only one or two dogs; Happy Paws is too crowded for her, so fighting is a way to get our attention.

Her first 5 minutes at HP. Parnaie, Lucy and baby Nico were greeting Tasha

Tasha is a 4 years old girl, spayed, small to medium sized, friendly to people; she can be dominant with other dogs and she doesn't like large group of dogs. Tasha is a very loving girl, she enjoys to be cuddled, she is playful and intelligent. She gets along perfect with her kennel mate Santana who is more of the submmisive type. She is available for adoption.

Linda - the cute stalker

Marilena found her a year and a half ago when we had a RAR free spay/neuter campaign going on. Linda was spayed and because she was so skinny, Marilena decided to keep her close and feed her. Linda immediately bonded with Marilena and considered her "her human". She used to follow Marilena around town, chasing her car. Soon Marilena saw how dangerous that was and decided to let Linda ride in the back seat of her car. But this couldn't go on for long, so Linda came to stay at Happy Paws.

Linda is a very loving girl; she is in love with Marilena and misses her a lot when she is too busy to come to Happy Paws. She is very gentle with people and other dogs and she always enjoys a good cuddle.

Last year Linda donated blood for a dog in need; cuddles were her favourite pay

Because Marilena loves her so much, she takes Linda out of Happy Paws and fosters her a couple of months, when she thinks Linda is too sad or bored. Happy Paws is only a temporary home for its residents and we all wish our dogs could enjoy a real life in a real home. Sadly, we can't offer our own homes to them, no matter how much we want to.

Linda is now at Happy Paws waiting for her happy ending. She is a young girl, around 4 years old, spayed, very loving and gentle to everyone. She enjoys a good cuddle and she loves to run free and play. Linda is available for adoption.
